The first time I heard about Accenture was when I attended my colleague’s “leaving” party. He was leaving us to join Accenture. At that time I was working for major Latvia's telecommunications company. I thought then, that best guys move to start their careers in Accenture – it might be the great place to work. One day my other ex-colleague called me and offered to join growing Accenture team. My first impression was that it is big international company, growing really fast, large professional and career growing opportunities with clearly defined rules, provided trainings if needed. This offer seemed interesting for me and just after one month I started my career in Accenture.
I joined Siebel Capability Group already having 3 year experience in using and administrating Siebel from General User Interface. I would say I had good skills “looking outside of the box” and now it was an opportunity and a challenge “to have a look inside” – designing and building solutions, customizing application. I was really surprised about work and social atmosphere across employees. My new colleagues were open for any help I needed. After two day introduction training I had the possibility to take 2 week professional course to improve existing and gain new technical skills in Siebel application development.
I started my first project as interface developer and was responsible for solution design, implementation, testing and deployment. It was the first challenge for me in Accenture. Afterwards I realized that in this company every upcoming project is a new challenge and I like this approach. It makes you to be on-track with the latest technologies, helps to evaluate your value and gain significant experience. On the next project I was responsible for the data migration process design and implementation. Data migration task had never been done in Riga before and it was the possibility for us to design, build and deploy the solution from the very beginning. Now I am leading small Siebel Application Management project and looking forward for the next challenges.
Looking for a challenge? Come and join our growing Accenture team!!!
