I was working in one of the biggest IT companies in Lithuania for 4 years. I started as a computer technician, later was few times successfully promoted to finally become computer production department organization manager. However as I finished my computer systems engineering master’s degree I understood that I better need to focus on software engineering. I filled my CV in several online job search portals and started looking for another job. Few months later someone from Accenture called me and told me about the possibility to get a job position in this big international company. I was immediately interested in this opportunity and after several weeks I finally moved to Riga and became a SAP senior programmer. As SAP was new to me I had to learn a lot.
From the first days I was focusing to learn as much about SAP as possible. I was given opportunity to take various online courses, went through few introduction trainings etc. After about one month of intensive studies there was a good opportunity to get me into the first project, but before that I went to one final specific SAP authorizations training course in UK which was needed for this project. It’s really amazing and inspiring when company trusts you and from the first days gives you a chance to take various courses and trainings in order to let you grow fast as a specialist.
Later I successfully finished my first project, where I gained tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in SAP security and authorizations area. I am successfully continuing to work in other projects and really enjoying because I have a chance to work in international projects, travel quite a lot and meet new people. I am growing as a person and SAP specialist every day while working here in Accenture, so I see a great future and much potential in the path I chose.
