Job Descriptions

There are many different types of tech jobs at Accenture Technology Solutions . Here are brief descriptions of what each job entails:

Our application developers and programmers build, develop, test and deploy business software applications. They start by breaking down the business and functional requirements into components. Once they have worked out how these components relate to each other and how the architecture works, the developers are likely to build an application that links the components together. Leveraging object-oriented programming, they often work with Java, C++, or VB and more.

Application maintenance employees deploy completed code, manage deployment to users, and handle upgrades and new releases. These employees also focus on long-term service reliability, fault detection and isolation, troubleshooting, and performance reporting.

Systems analysts define a project's technical requirements. They create high-level specs, lead programming teams, and take responsibility for the build process.

Programmers and systems analysts on our Systems Administration team conduct daily operational support for the in-house coding team and for clients. This involves typical sysadmin tasks such as maintenance, user support, backup and recovery, and system upgrades.

Our systems architects deal with the abstract relationships between people and technology. Communicators and diplomats, they plan complicated projects, orchestrate teamwork, and present functioning finished solutions.
