Global Architecture & Core Technologies

Where are you from?

I am French and I grew up close to Poitiers in the heart of France.

What is your educational background?

I have an MSc degree in Computer Engineering from INSA (Institut national des Sciences Appliquées), Lyon in France.

What level are you?

I am a Manager.

How long have you been with the European Technology Park?

I joined the Accenture European Technology Park in July 1999.

Project description:

The client is a large international consumer goods company. They wanted to significantly improve their internal and external supply chain by integrating, globalising and automating their business processes.

What were your responsibilities on this project?

After having defined the project plan and the team structure, I mobilised my team by finding the best people from various Accenture offices to work on this project. Once the team was mobilised, I supervised their day-to-day work, tracked the progress and budget and reported the status to project management. I worked closely with client personnel on defining the detailed requirements and determining the actions to be taken. This was really interesting and challenging. Additionally, I managed third party resources and coordinated our work with the other teams on the project. Aside from these tasks, one very important and satisfying task was to provide advice and guidance to less experienced team members.

What was a typical day on the project?

I spent most of my time working with our clients to ensure their satisfaction with my team’s work and coordinating our work with other teams. Additionally, I always kept an eye on the schedule and the budget.

How many people were on your team?

My team was composed of 10 people from 5 different countries.

What did you do in your spare time on the project?

I liked visiting the surroundings, discovering nice restaurants and participating in the specific activities of the area. I sometimes rode a horse in the evening, since there was a beautiful park next to where we worked. I often went to aerobic classes as well!

What did you enjoy in your role?

I liked supervising a team and making sure we had a good team spirit, being very supportive of one another and learning from each other.

It was really interesting to work directly with the clients, understanding the matters that are important to them and making sure they are satisfied with the overall work my team was producing.

What are your personal interests?

I love going back to the sunny beaches of the French Riviera. I like to go to the theatre as well.
