Lifestyle

Will I feel lost working in such a huge organization?
Accenture is certainly big, but it is made up of smaller, more manageable communities so you will soon feel at home on one of these. You will quickly make friends with colleagues who share your specialization and with other Accenture staff on the projects you work on. You will soon have your own personal and professional network within the organization.

What are the people really like?
Accenture people are diverse coming from all backgrounds and all communities and bring a wealth of talents with them.

How will working at Accenture affect my lifestyle?
Hopefully you will find it improving. You will certainly find your work life more challenging, more stimulating and more rewarding. We encourage work life balance. Our recreational club offers engaging activities throughout the year.

Challenges

How will I find joining Accenture as an experienced hire?
Stimulating—is the only word to describe it. Your previous experience will be immediately recognized and harnessed by the area you join. The combination of familiar territory and new ways of working may need a little getting used to—but the immense satisfaction gained by putting your expertise to work is, for many, the greatest reward of a move to Accenture.

What will make the work continually challenging and interesting?
People at Accenture answer this question with a smile, because work at Accenture is the way work ought to be—constantly stimulating and varied. Every day is different. That may sound challenging now, but the stimulation that new situations and people provide will make you think more deeply, perform more effectively and continue to grow as a professional throughout your time with us. Accenture structures your career to help you to be the best.

Is working at Accenture as tough as I have heard?
It is certainly challenging, and the learning curve can be steep for a while. If you are uncomfortable with change, do not like new situations and lose patience under pressure, then Accenture may not be the place for you. If, however, you enjoy performing to the best of your abilities (and constantly expanding those abilities as you work), and really making a difference to the projects you engage with, then the only aspect of life at Accenture you may find tough is trying to imagine how you ever enjoyed working anywhere else.

Development

What influence will I have over my career progression?
At Accenture we believe people do their best when they are doing what they really want to do. Employees are assigned a mentor within the organization to help with career choices that will be good for your personal and professional development. Accenture is also unique in allowing you to provide input in which projects you work on.

How will I continue to grow as a professional?
The projects you work on and the colleagues you work alongside make this an extremely inspiring place to develop your career. If you want to be recognized as one of the best at what you do, we do our best to make that happen. There are a number of ways we can help—through personally selected training, professional development programs, and guidance from the leading practitioners in every field of business.

What kind of training can I expect from Accenture?
Every one of our people receives an annual allocation of training time. Our average training time per person is 75 hours. Although some trainings are mandatory, our training programs are tailored to individual needs, and the courses people take depend on their skills, experience and areas of interest. You decide on the areas you want to develop, then pick the most appropriate training from our unique database and arrange for the program to suit you.
