Accenture Australia hosted its fourth annual Accenture Forum for senior members of University Faculty. The forum provides attendees with the unique opportunity to network with their counterparts from other Universities and with a number of Accenture employees including Ric Emerson (South East Asia, Australia & Korea Systems Integration &Technology Lead) and Catherine Eastwood (Australia Accenture Technology Solutions Lead).
The key presentation for the day focused on positioning organisations for growth, Attendees also had the chance to hear about Accenture’s broad reaching Corporate Citizenship initiatives; including the new ‘skills to succeed’ mentoring program. The topic of the day was Accenture’s recent ISO1401 accreditation for its Environment Systems Management this stimulated much discussion around Green IT and it’s subsequent impact on Universities and future students.
The remainder of the day was dedicated to a round table discussion and presentation by a recent graduate about their experience at Accenture. This provided a valuable insight into the transition from student to full time Accenture employee and included updates on project work and the extensive training received to date.
Accenture Australia has recruited over 300 Graduates across Australia over the past 2 years, making us one of the largest recruiters within the Australian market. The Accenture Forum enables us to strengthen our relationship with Universities and connect with potential Graduate candidates.
