What did you study and where? Bachelor of Business at the University of Technology, Sydney.
Briefly describe a day in your life at Accenture? The day typically starts off with a meeting with my manager to discuss our progress and next steps. After that, who knows what may happen? That is the beauty of it!
Where have you travelled for work? My first two roles have both been in Sydney..
What’s your daily routine? Most days consist of several meetings with the client and my manager.
How did you get the job? I applied through the graduate program half way through my last year of university.
What excites you about your job? What I find most exciting about my job is the unexpected. There is usually never a dull moment as each project becomes more interesting and complex as my level of understanding increases.
What are the worst aspects of your job? I am generally not a morning person, but I am slowly getting used to it!
What do you do in your spare time? I love to go sailing and play tennis as often as I can.
What has been your best/most interesting experience working with Accenture? My favourite experience so far has been working with a great manager on a telecommunications project. The project required some real strategic thinking to solve some of the issues. It was very satisfying when our recommendations were very well received.
What attracted you to Accenture? What most attracted me to Accenture was the wealth of opportunities that are available. The nature of the work ensures that you are always going to be doing something new.
Whom do you admire at Accenture, and why? I most admire my current manager. He has an amazing ability to analyse situations quickly, applying a structured framework to bring newfound clarity to the situation.
What are your proudest achievements at Accenture? I feel most proud when I am congratulated for my work.
Would you refer a friend? If not, why not? I would definitely refer a friend if I believe they would enjoy the consulting lifestyle. The lack of future certainty in terms of work placements and travel is exciting for me, but it may not suit everyone.
