Accenture has formed an exciting new relationship with international women’s network: 85Broads. The network connects women from leading global universities, graduate schools and select companies, allowing them to exchange resources, knowledge and ideas with 17,000 other smart and talented women across the world.
“These incredibly talented women are increasingly “reading the ending first,” as we like to say. They’re redefining what it takes for companies to recruit and retain them. They are starting their careers with exit strategies already in mind. Or they are opting out of the one-dimensional career tracks in favor (sic) of opportunities that can be truly integrated with how they want to live their lives and pursue their passions for the next four to five decades, not just the next four to five years.” -- Janet Hanson (Founder of 85Broads), More than 85 Broads
Founded in 1997, a humorous play on Goldman Sach's address in New York City on 85 Broad Street: 85 Broads was originally launched as an independent global network for current and former Goldman Sachs women. Members now range 17 years old and up, and include college and graduate students, corporate and not-for-profit executives, entrepreneurs, mid-career professionals and women outside of the traditional workforce.
