What is your current role/work project?
Change Analyst – involves status and governance of the change request process on the Telstra CC&B project.
What do you like most about this role/project?
I work directly with the client on change request accounting and several Accenture Senior Executives
Why did you join Accenture?
The training and exposure at Accenture is really attractive. The reputation of Accenture and it’s graduate program is also exceptional.
What do you like most about working for Accenture?
The people are great to be around and the work is very interesting, the day goes by very quickly!
What do you find interesting or unique about what you do?
Working with the Senior Executives so closely, so I get really good exposure about what they do and the type of work and decisions involved at a senior level.
What does a typical day hold for you?
A typical day involves generating reports for senior management or the client on the current status and financial position of all change request work. I also look after two workplans which track the time spent on change request work.
What do you enjoy most about the work you do?
I get to work fairly independently with a high amount of responsibility – so I enjoy the pressure and the need for accuracy.
What tools and resources do you have to assist you to get your job done?
Excel has become vital to what I do, as is MS Project
What qualifications do you have?
Bachelor of Business Information Technology (Honors)
What prior experience did you have when you joined Accenture?
I did an internship with Telstra, working as a business analyst.
What have you learned since you joined Accenture?
Quality is critical. The attention to detail needed is very high. I spend a reasonable portion of my day checking work produced by both myself and others before presenting to clients.
What has been some of the biggest challenges of your job so far?
The general learning curve is very steep, but the training and support Accenture provided got me up to speed quickly.
What have you done that tested you the most?
Having never done any financial work before it was initially hard to grasp, but I quickly learnt the processes involved.
What are the people like?
Everyone is very dedicated to getting the job done quickly, efficiently and to an incredibly high-standard. At the same time, everyone has a positive attitude and more than willing to lend a hand if you have trouble with anything.
How do you all work together?
Very well! Everyone has their own job to do, and everything links in together. It’s a real team environment where we all help each other out to get the job done.

Joining Accenture let’s you work with people at the top of their game, which will only help you get better at what you do.
How do you describe what you do to friends/your family?
I report on the status and financials of one component of a large project
Why did you choose to do what you do at Accenture versus somewhere else?
Accenture have a strong reputation of developing staff, particular through their graduate programs.
How do you see your career developing at Accenture?
I would like to get involved in as many different areas of IT as possible, with project management a definite goal in the long-term.
