In fact, in 2008 we invested nearly $750 million in training and professional development and provided an average of 76 hours of training per person, which equates to spending $5000 on training per person.

So, as you progress, you will have the opportunity to master a core curriculum at each stage of development to be promoted to the next career level. The curriculum will vary, depending on your level, industry group and specialization, but will involve developing a portfolio of business, technology and industry expertise, together with professional skills such as leadership, communication, management, business acumen and selling. Online training

Not only does Accenture have a wide range of people and methodologies to learn from, we also have an innovative learning tool called “myLearning”. This is an Internet-based training facility that brings together Accenture’s learning resources, both electronic and traditional classroom learning, as well as products offered from outside vendors, onto one website. With just a few clicks, you will have access to most of the training and development you will need.

Online knowledge resources

All Accenture people have access to our comprehensive database housing all the knowledge and toolkits relevant to our business. It’s like a vast online encyclopedia accessible through our employee portal—the Accenture Portal—and powered by our own search engine. Each business practice has its own series of resources, job aids, sample deliverables, best practice guidelines and other tools.
