Diversity and inclusion are key to Accenture. We employ a diverse group of people and promote an inclusive work environment.

Take one look at the clients we work with, the industries we serve or the people who work here and you’ll see that diversity and inclusion are at the very heart of our business.

We build and maintain a global and Canadian workforce mirroring that of our clients. We employ a diverse group of people from different backgrounds, with a vast range of skills and experience, yet all connected by a common sense of culture.

Cultivating a diverse workforce is smart business sense. We promote an inclusive work environment for all our employees. We value the uniqueness of each individual and rely on these differences to drive innovation, growth and performance for our clients. We’re totally committed to equality of opportunity, and our recruitment and selection processes are objective and professional, as is ongoing assessment.

At Accenture, our people make the difference in delivering high performance to our clients and in the communities where we live and work. To encourage diversity in our organization we sponsor a range of internal and external innovative initiatives to support all of our people, including:

Mentoring programs, a vital part of our culture of learning, are one of the best ways for you to grow your career with guidance from someone who has been there and can share his or her experiences. You can develop lifelong business friendships within your Accenture community.

Women’s Initiatives help Accenture achieve its goal of attracting, retaining, and advancing female employees. Learn more about Accenture’s women’s initiatives and why Working Mother has acknowledged this focus on the professional and personal success of women, for six consecutive years.

In Canada, the Canadian Women’s Initiatives have been in place since 2001. A formal organization—including a women's panel, women's networking chairs and teams at each office location—is in place to drive the initiative.

Every year Accenture people come together on March 8 to celebrate International Women’s Day, to learn about the positive impact women are having on the world and Accenture. Participants enjoy exchanging ideas about women and their impact on the global economy and Accenture's business, and join in on local events. This global celebration provides a venue for networking, building vital skills and addressing issues that face women in the workplace and beyond.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender programs include an employee networking group which aims to foster a positive and inclusive work environment for our lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees.

In Canada, we formalized the Accenture Canada Pride Network in 2008. Since then, more than 50 lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees and their straight allies have been focused on developing initiatives for employees in Canada and collaborating and building our profile with outside organizations.

Please see our list of upcoming diversity events.

To further support this initiative Accenture has twice been a Gold sponsor for the Out on Bay Street business conference targeting business and engineering students, and presented a keynote by of our senior executives. Accenture in Canada is also a member of Pride at Work Canada, which is a professional organization that supports lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees in the workplace.

Accenture has also earned a perfect rating of 100 from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation on its Corporate Equality Index and Best Place to Work Survey for the second year in a row.
