About Me

I am originally from Ottawa, Canada and attended Carlton University before transferring to Helsinki, Finland to obtain my International Bachelor of Business Administration from the Helsinki School of Economics And Business Administration. I continued my studies at the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration in Finland earning a Masters of Science degree(Marketing) and completing a combined M.Sc./ MBA Program in Information Technology (eBusiness).

Joining Accenture

Accenture’s focus on delivering innovation is what first attracted me to the company, and I was very pleased to join their Helsinki office in 2001. Recently, I transferred back to Ottawa where I work as a Consultant in the Government Operating Group.

Working Life

Accenture provides me with challenges I thrive on. I am very committed to my job but consider a healthy career-home life to be very important. In addition to my client work at Accenture I also act as co-lead of the Mobile Architecture Community of Practice, organizing forums where dedicated Accenture employees from around the world discuss innovations in this shared interest and professional field.

Balancing Work and Life

Outside of work, I’ve been involved with various charities, such as the YMCA/YWCA. I continue to study Taekwondo, something I have done for over 20 years, and have recently started yoga and competing in adventure racing. I am also a happy husband and expecting uncle!

Current Projects

Since my return to Canada, my client has been a major government service provider. I love the challenge that I face everyday and have a great deal of respect for the people I work with. I believe in what I do and know it is making a difference, not only for my client, but for the taxpayers of Canada. My goal is to help grow Accenture’s presence in the Government sector, and to ensure that we are trusted as the partner of choice whenever government faces challenges.

Advice to Recruits

Keep your eyes open and learn from your peers. Accenture offers a tremendous learning opportunity and is very supportive of professional growth. However, I think it’s extremely important to keep balance in your life. Gain new skills and experience, but remember there is life outside of work!
