About Me

Growing up, my father worked for a major oil company which meant my family moved around considerably. Although I was born in the United Arab Emirates, I have lived in many other countries, including Canada, England, Pakistan and the United States. I consider myself to have been raised between continents! I obtained my Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Joining Accenture

I joined Accenture right away upon graduating from university. I have recently been promoted from Senior Analyst to Consultant within the Products Operating Group.

Working Life

My career with Accenture is enabling me to explore the world! I have gained experience in a number of industries and have traveled significantly. Since starting in the Toronto office, I have requested and received project assignments in Montreal (Quebec, Canada), Boston (Massachusetts) and am now working in the United Kingdom.

Balancing Work and Life

Accenture has been very accommodating to my personal life, offering interesting project work in England and allowing me the travel opportunities I desire. In my spare time, I have taken university courses at the University of Toronto and Harvard University, as well as risking a run with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain.

Current Projects

I am currently working on what many consider to be the world’s largest scale consulting project, reshaping England’s National Health Services’ healthcare delivery systems. I have the opportunity to work collaboratively with individuals from over 20 other nationalities and feel as though I am making a difference to the citizens of Britain. Recently, I have organized the Accenture Language Exchange, where people on the project meet to learn about each others cultures and extend our relationships beyond work.

The wealth of knowledge both in terms of human and intellectual capital is abundant and one can’t help but benefit from the challenging projects available. Don’t be afraid to take on as much as possible and actively shape your role within your project teams! You will have an opportunity to work alongside the brightest minds in the industry; learn from those with experience and be prepared to share your knowledge with others.
