Operating Groups

Accenture’s business is structured around five industry sectors that we call Operating Groups:

Communications & High-Tech (serving the communications, electronics and high-tech, media and entertainment industries);
Financial Services (banking, capital markets and insurance);
Products (automotive, consumer goods, health services, retail, transportation);
Resources (chemicals, energy, natural resources and utilities) and
Health & Public Service.

These Operating Groups have primary responsibility for managing client relationships and selling our services.

Growth Platforms

The services and solutions we offer fall into three categories:
(1) Management Consulting,
(2) Systems Integration & Technology and
(3) Outsourcing.

We call these three categories our “growth platforms”.
They are our springboards for innovation, and function as centers of excellence where we build our world-class skills and capabilities to drive the growth of the company. Growth platforms also provide the expertise that ensures smooth delivery of services and solutions to clients.

Workforces

Accenture is made up of four workforces, each of which has a different, but complementary role to play in the company’s success.

• Consulting people are the experts in business, industry, systems integration and technology. They help our clients design, build and deliver strategies that can transform companies into high-performance businesses.

• Accenture Technology Solutions is a global network of technology experts. These people use their knowledge and experience to take on practical programming and technology implementation for our clients.

• Services people work on Accenture’s outsourcing projects. They are skilled professionals who specialize in a variety of areas including finance, human resources, customer care and IT.

• Enterprise is Accenture’s internal workforce – efficiently managing and supporting all activities across our business. Enterprise people work in areas such as Finance, HR, Facilities&Services, or Marketing and Communications.
