I joined Accenture in November 2006 after finishing my Master's of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Management from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). During my studies, I among other things, worked as a junior strategy consultant in a Danish consultancy and had a one year post-graduate exchange in Hong Kong.
I knew that I wanted to start my professional career in consulting. The main underlying reason for choosing Accenture was the project-based work along with the structured training and career model.
I've been able to create a solid business process and change management foundation through working on a few different projects in different industries. I really appreciate the continuous training and personal development possibilities that go alongside daily project work.
I am currently finishing a project, which is a part of the Accenture Corporate Citizenship program. One aspect of the program is Accenture donating Management Consulting services to Corporate Social Responsibility firms. My project is for Specialisterne, which helps people with Autism Spectrum Disorder to find productive employment. They combine idealism with business in the belief that both elements are equally important to obtain sustainability. The company has experienced significant growth and is currently transforming from a start-up company to a mature business. My role has been to lead a business process design project documenting and designing their most critical business processes. The role has been an exiting and educating experience both personally and professionally.
My next project will most likely be a role as a Senior Business Analyst on an on-demand CRM system implementation project in the telecommunications industry.
