My major at the Helsinki School of Economics was Information Systems. And when I graduated I landed a job at a smaller-sized software company here in Finland. What prompted me to apply at Accenture was their Great Place to Work win. And I had friends working here who told me that the award wasn't just about PR. They confirmed that Accenture is actually a great place to be. Something I've learned myself over the past two years.
The international environment. On the project I'm working on now, I collaborate with Accenture Delivery Center and third-party outsourcers and in India and regularly communicate with teams in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas. And my colleagues are really friendly and supportive, too.
We're doing a major ERP deployment that involves SAP. As part of the work, we're integrating two companies that merged nearly two years ago. We're delivering SAP logistics configuration, end-to-end process pretesting and coordination for projects around the world. Although the cultural aspects can be a challenge, it has helped me grow professionally. You have to learn to manage cultural diversity in today's business world.
