Opportunities: Sales development and sales support careers
The Sales Development workgroup is a part of a dedicated internal corporate functions organization that manages and operates the Accenture business and supports our client-facing professionals, outsourcing units and other businesses. Consisting of sales and sales support professionals who lead and manage the selling process of Accenture’s services, the Sales Development team also develops and manages alliance business relationships, and actively promotes alliance offerings. It has three areas of focus and five key roles.
Sales Leadership: Responsible for a number of sales process activities with specific annual sales targets. You could be selling, shaping and delivering large, complex, long-term outsourcing engagements. You would combine Accenture’s industry experience and technology, and outsourcing know-how to grow business with new and existing clients.
Sales Management: Responsible for how alliance strategy is executed as part of a new business opportunity, you would influence Accenture senior executives to make alliance offerings as part of the solution.
Sales Enablement: Responsible for developing and managing alliance relationships, you would help client groups access an alliance partner’s organization. You may also support the sales process through research or by managing client service/accounts and overseeing order fulfillment (quotes for hardware, software and services solutions).
Sales Development people are excellent communicators and facilitators. We look for creative, outgoing, enthusiastic people with real presence, who know how to build and nurture relationships, both internally and externally. This takes experience, working in diverse corporate cultures and at very senior levels. On top of this, you must be able to develop concise, complete and compelling sales messages, and negotiate sensitive situations.
