CDP Partners with Accenture, Microsoft and SAP to Establish the De Facto Global Climate Change Data and Reporting Platform
The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) announced plans to build an improved and upgraded version of its global climate change disclosure system. The system will make available primary information on corporate emissions performance, collected for use by institutional investors, businesses and the world’s national regulatory systems, to drive greenhouse gas emission reductions and performance improvements. CDP is partnering with world leading consulting and technology companies Accenture, Microsoft and SAP to deliver the new version of its data system.

Accenture Teams with Procter & Gamble to Transform P&G Web Technology Infrastructure and Digital Capability
Procter & Gamble (P&G) is teaming with Accenture to transform P&G’s global Web technology infrastructure and on-line digital capability. Under the multi-year agreement, Accenture will become Procter & Gamble’s primary Web technology infrastructure and services provider. At the same time, P&G will become the anchor client of Accenture Interactive, a new business that Accenture has established to help companies develop world-class digital marketing capabilities and optimize online/offline investments.

Accenture Selected to Design Smart Meter System Infrastructure for ComEd Pilot Program
ComEd, a unit of Exelon Corporation, has chosen Accenture to design and deploy the data management system for its proposed Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) pilot. The pilot, if approved by the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC), will assess how advanced technology can improve service reliability, help customers make smarter decisions about energy use and contribute to lower energy costs and reduced carbon emissions.

Accenture people make “40,000 carbon tons” of impact with Eco Challenge
From June 5 to August 31, 32,100 people took the Accenture Employee Eco Challenge. That accounts for 19 percent of Accenture’s workforce who collectively pledged to reduce their carbon footprint by more than 40,000 tons. These pledges amount to the same amount of carbon emitted by taking 28,000 flights between London and New York.
