Current Projects

Veronique is currently working on projects for a major telecommunications company. These projects involve the integration of legacy systems, implementation of CRM tools and redesigning sales systems. The greatest challenge she has encountered in her career as a consultant has been user resistance to change. She finds it very rewarding when she successfully implements a solution and gains client acceptance. Her communication skills, developed from her prior career as an attorney, have proven extremely important in accomplishing this.

Working on Global Teams

Attracted by Accenture’s excellent reputation, Veronique joined as an analyst in 2000 and now works as a manager in the Communications and High Tech operating group. “People are what make Accenture great!” Veronique says. Although the company’s size and global presence increase the variety of projects and resources available, it also enables Accenture to employ the highest quality workforce. Work is challenging, and the clients she deals with are demanding, but she knows that she always has the full support of her team and co-workers.

Putting Skills to Work

Veronique attended university in her hometown, and received her law degree from the Université de Montréal. After becoming a member of the Quebec Bar Association, she worked for a law firm as a litigation attorney for three years. She then returned to university, hoping to find a career which offered greater variety and room for growth. She received her Master of Business Administration from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC).

Personal Satisfaction

Véronique works out of town during the week but she tries to spend most of her free time on the weekends with family and friends in Montreal. She enjoys reading and exercising, but her true passions are cooking and playing golf. Her advice to recruits: “Be prepared to invest time and work hard! Accenture offers great opportunities for career progression but not without determination and desire. Being able to roll with the punches is another crucial ability for Accenture employees. We work in an industry which is constantly changing and being able to adapt proactively is extremely important.”
