Man on phone.

Within Operations, there are two main areas, or workforces, in which you can work. Each workforce offers a different career experience, depending on your skills, career objectives and the sort of work experience you’re looking for. Learn more about applying your skills in Accenture’s outsourcing business or internal Business Operations and Architecture roles.

Operations Roles in Accenture’s Outsourcing Business

We have a dedicated team of people called the Services workforce who work on outsourcing engagements. These are long-term partnerships with clients for whom we manage and provide increasingly specialized business operations, such as finance and accounting, IT, applications development and maintenance, help desk services and HR.

Customer Service and Support
Many of our outsourcing engagements involve handling calls and queries from employees in our clients’ organizations, particularly in connection with IT and HR. You would be providing a single point of contact and dedicated customer support via the internet or by telephone.

Customer Contact Services
In addition to customer support roles, we also have customer contact teams, handling inbound and outbound telemarketing calls for clients looking to achieve high performance through world-class customer relationship management. Working in one of these teams, you can help strengthen customer relationships for our clients, capture new customer data and deliver a superior service.

Business Operations and Architecture

Individuals with operations skills will find rewarding opportunities in Business Operations and Architecture. These professionals belong to a dedicated workforce called “Enterprise” that manages and operates the Accenture business and supports our client-facing professionals, outsourcing units and other businesses.

Business Operations and Architecture people have a variety of responsibilities involving the management of processes and tools related to new business development, quality, client satisfaction, records management and contract compliance. Some people work in our shared services centers handling transactional processes like issuing purchase orders and managing supplier invoices while others drive or support strategic programs that make Accenture’s internal operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Others work in the Business Architecture group, designing, implementing and/or supporting global programs to improve Accenture’s internal operations and the way we do business. Operations professionals do the research and analysis that lead to major decisions, such as setting earning goals for the organization or to major projects that support our client leadership.

Our work can have a big impact on the business. In a company of our size, you will have more opportunities to learn about multiple aspects of big business and to work on high-impact projects and processes.

We look for people with a certain amount of business acumen and a broad understanding of business. Operations people tend to work independently, but are expected to interact with Accenture’s senior leadership, operating groups and/or client groups. As a result, they have to be able to communicate well with people of all levels. You will also need strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
