The ability to innovate lies at the heart of success in business today—and in the future. Accenture’s Consulting professionals work closely with our clients to help them change the way they do business in order to achieve high performance. Our consultants are smart, with deep specialist knowledge in business, technical and functional areas—but more importantly they know how to create global teams that will pull together the skills and talents they need to meet the client’s needs.
Since many of the world’s leading companies are our clients, we need people who are able to challenge conventional thought, offer unique perspectives and conceive more innovative solutions for our clients. With technology-led innovation at the heart of our business, you’ll be able to build and expand your skills to a higher level than virtually anywhere else.
Consulting professionals belong to one of three workgroups: Management Consulting, Systems Integration Consulting, or Technology Consulting. Most consultants are also deployed to either the Management Consulting or the Systems Integration & Technology growth platform—this is their “home.” They focus mainly on project delivery and are given the opportunity to work across several industry groups, developing a broad set of skills in a variety of areas. Depending on career goals and business need, individuals may be given the option of aligning with, and eventually being deployed solely to, a single industry group, where they can focus on selling our solutions and managing client relationships. Some people who come to us with significant industry experience are deployed straight to an Operating Group rather than a growth platform, where they will continue to deepen their expertise in this sector. This provides our people with greater opportunities to build market-relevant skills in both transferable and specialist areas.
Management Consulting professionals focus on strategy and take responsibility for organizational change and business transformation.
Systems Integration Consulting professionals are responsible for delivering large-scale, complex programs that marry processes with solution development and technology to enable clients to transform the way they do business.
Some clients specifically ask for packaged and industry-specific solutions by name, particularly Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft and Siebel.
Whether packaged or custom solutions, specialist Technology Architecture professionals within Systems Integration Consulting focus on integrating new and existing capabilities to deliver systems with higher quality at lower costs.
Accenture is involved in some of the largest, most complex deployments of technology around. All Technology Consulting professionals are expected to build a common set of capabilities: technology diagnosis and assessment, technology strategy and planning, technology design and technology implementation.
Consulting at Accenture is varied and stimulating. Get more information on where you may fit in, the training you will get and how your career will develop.
