Our Corporate Functions or Enterprise workforce provides deep expertise to manage and operate Accenture’s business functions and support client teams. They work in a wide range of functional areas including human resources, marketing and communications, finance, quality control, legal, IT, facilities and service.

Most Enterprise people work in one of our business practices or workgroups:

• Internal technology infrastructure (CIO Organization): The CIO Organization is responsible for Accenture’s infrastructure technology and for implementing our information technology (IT) strategy. The services we provide include: helpdesk support, network and data center services, workstation support, telecommunications, and IT products and services.
  
  
• Facilities and Services: There are many roles in Facilities & Services ranging from on-site facilities management, executive support services, office services, real estate and travel to workplace research and development.
  
  
• Finance: The Finance Business Practice is responsible for our financial integrity and results. We operate across several functional areas using an integrated approach to ensure that Accenture’s financial reporting is accurate, consistent and compliant with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), US GAAP policies and principles, and local statutory rules and regulations. We also act as a strategic business partner for other parts of the company, for example, advising and structuring client deals that make the best use of Accenture capital and resources.
  
  
• Human Resources: The Human Resources (HR) Business Practice has wide-ranging responsibilities. These include Accenture’s performance management process, reporting processes, leadership development initiatives, learning strategy, compensation strategy, recruiting and new joiner processes.
  
  
• Legal & Commercial: The Legal & Commercial Business Practice provides or manages all legal advice and support for Accenture. We provide objective, focused, practical advice and solutions, based on an understanding of the law and Accenture’s business. As a group, we work closely with client engagement teams to find ways to maximize revenues and manage risk.
  
  
• Marketing and Communications: The Marketing & Communications Business Practice is responsible for developing and implementing initiatives that help build our global brand, increase industry esteem and preference and establish ownership of the market space. Our people are involved in a range of activities from advertising, market research, brand management and internal communications, to marketing thought leadership initiatives and industry insights, and promoting Accenture’s capabilities and services.
  
  
• Business Operations: In Operations, we have a variety of responsibilities involving the management of processes and tools related to new business development, quality, client satisfaction, records management and contract compliance. Some of our people work on transactional processes in our shared services centers while others drive or support strategic programs that optimize Accenture’s internal operations.

Workgroups

• Technology Research: The Technology Research workgroup is part of Accenture Technology Labs, the dedicated technology research and development (R&D) organization within Accenture. The Labs focus on creating original research and authoritative insights on strategic business issues and technology advances that are shaping the future. In this way we help clients enhance their business performance by turning technology innovation into business results.
  
  
• Sales Development: The Sales Development workgroup consists of sales and sales support professionals who lead and manage the selling process of Accenture’s consulting and outsourcing capabilities. We also develop and manage alliance business relationships, and actively promote alliance offerings.
