Senior Manager - LeadJava PracticeAccenture Delivery Centre for Technology in India, Mumbai
Reva started working as a developer on traffic simulation programmes after she completed her bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology in Pilani. She is now Java Practice lead at Accenture, helping clients achieve high-performance in their businesses.
“I joined Accenture because I was looking for a challenging opportunity to make an organisation-wide impact, while being technology focused, and I knew that I would get that experience here.”
“Accenture has given me the opportunity to make a difference across various levels in the organisation. My journey so far has been a roller-coaster ride, a heady mix of dousing operational fires and being able to strategise on a number of initiatives!”
Reva believes that motivated and talented employees, who have extensive domain skills and agility, are truly unique to Accenture.
“The work environment here is a good mix of people support and infrastructure. The knowledge available on the Knowledge Exchange site has helped me understand the organisation and the business very quickly. The flexibility to work from any location has also helped me, as my professional commitments make me travel a lot.”
“Accenture encourages work from home,” says Reva, “and this is very useful as I sometimes need to isolate myself from my operational responsibilities and focus on particular deliverables. This helps me multitask in the organisation, and yet give every job my best.”
“The flexi time approach helps me take regular care of my fitness as well, which is cardinal with a hectic work profile.”
“My long-cherished wish to serve a social cause without losing my intellectual thrills of working has been fulfilled by Accenture. The innovative Corporate Citizenship programme helps me work for a non-profit organisation (NGO) as an IT manager or an enterprise architect. This is my contribution to society.”
