Being a good corporate citizen is at the heart of everything Accenture does. Whether dealing with our own people, clients or business partners, we make decisions that are grounded in our principles of good corporate citizenship. We see this as an important way to build positive relationships with all our stakeholders and create powerful lasting change. It is expected of any high-performance business and is especially important to one that operates globally.
Across the country, we have invested time, funds and additional resources to improve the communities in which we work and live. We have focused these efforts through four targeted initiatives: community building, civic leadership, employee engagement and responsible business.
Following the 2004 Asian tsunami, we worked in Aceh to help the relief program; we contributed funds and basic necessities to communities that were affected by the Yogya earthquake and the Pangandaran tsunami in 2006 and the floods in Jakarta early 2007. We coordinate blood donor events on a regular basis. We also provide scholarships for best-in-class students who need financial support in order to continue to perform. Accenture is committed to making a difference in our world, using our company’s assets and the talents of our people.
