In order to make a contribution as a corporate citizen, Accenture introduced its “High Performer Scholarship” program in Indonesia.
One of the ways in which Accenture participates actively in developing its home base countries is by contributing to the progress of the education sector. Realizing that the future of the nation is dependant on the quality of its youth, Accenture in Indonesia introduced the “Accenture High Performer Scholarship” program. This program rewards talented students with two full years (four semesters) of tuition aid. As a result six students were chosen for this scholarship program in 2006.
The participants for this scholarship were students from the University of Indonesia and the Bandung Institute of Technology. The program was delivered in several phases: the announcement phase, selection phase, judging phase, rewarding phase and monitoring phase. The winners of the scholarship for the year 2006 are Rien Maulana, Rado Yanu Ardian and Ricky Tjok from the University of Indonesia and Hendro Lie, Januar Kristianto and Zikril Hakim from the Bandung Institute of Technology. The awards ceremony took place in August.
