When I was asked to write an article for the Accenture Newsletter, it took me a while to recap on what I have been doing within the company for the past 10 months as a consulting analyst. First off, Accenture provides a great learning opportunity for its people Accenture invests significantly in its people and its people development infrastructure to provide matchable opportunities for personal and professional growth. Professionally, consultants have the opportunity to develop rapidly through an intense mix of demanding assignments and projects, extensive training, exposure to senior clients and colleagues, and, if lucky work on other Accenture projects around the world.
Working as a professional in Accenture certainly has provided me with assignments which have been very gratifying. I feel I am constantly adding value for clients, therefore resulting in them staying ahead of the competition. I have been involved in various value-adding projects, for example, participating in a procurement team, selecting the right strategic solution software to best meet the client’s business requirements; designing business process flow, enabling business process standardization which was compliant with regulation. Further to this, I had to diagnose the client’s “as is” business processes, and I performed a gap/fit analysis, and subsequently devised a value-added “to-be” solution. On top of that, I have assisted with the implementation of the recommended solutions and built consensus and commitment around the corrective action. I have participated in projects which have “electrified” me tremendously during my employment here.
Last but not the least; Accenture is a fun place to work. The local office’s Recreational Club is always organizing enormously exhilarating activities providing us with a balanced working life. The idea of delivering fun as part of our daily work is as promising as delivering high performance.
