Our people have a wide range of different needs and career goals, so there is no strictly prescribed “one plan fits all” career model. Instead, we have a flexible system that recognizes your personal goals and enables you to map out a career that is unique to you.

Throughout your career, you may change roles or take on increased responsibilities. Alternatively, you may wish to stay in one role for some time, choosing instead to build skills in your particular area. Both directions are equally valuable, and our framework will help you see what your options are and how you can achieve the career you are looking for.

At the entry level, we will encourage you to develop a broad set of skills as the foundation for your career. Once you have reached the appropriate level and we consider that you are ready to progress, you will then move into one of two career paths – managerial or specialist.

The specialist career path is for people who want to develop leading-edge or marketable skills that are necessary for our continued success, without taking on responsibility for day-to-day people management.

The managerial career path is for people who are good at managing others and who have a well-developed business sense. It includes people in all kinds of roles, from a project manager who moves from assignment to assignment, to a team leader at a long-term client engagement.

Managing your career is an ongoing process. Every year, you will have regular performance reviews, where you can discuss your short-term and long-term development needs and career aspirations, and set goals for the future. Your Manager is responsible for giving you feedback and guidance on career issues throughout the year, so you will always have a clear idea of how you are doing and what your options are.
