Spastic Association of Singapore More than $8550 was raised for the Association during the Swissotel Vertical Marathon. A total of 38 of our employees took part in the race, their participation fees were raised via an office-wide donation drive.
Asian Women’s Welfare Association (AWWA) Over $15,000 from Accenture’s annual giving budget went to the AWWA School, which caters for the education needs of special children between the age of 5 and 18 years. Accenture Singapore has been partnering AWWA for the past few years by organising various voluntary activities for the school.
Another $5000 plus was raised from a casual-clothing drive in offices as well as direct donations from staff, in order to arrange a trip to the zoo for 17 kids from the AWWA School for special children. The children were cared for by 32 Accenture staff who volunteered to take them on a half-day trip.
A one-day IT skills training course is also being organised for the teachers of the AWWA School for special children. This training will be held in Accenture offices and will be conducted by 14 volunteers.
Accenture Singapore’s Charity Splash More than US$8,412 was raised for the World Swim for Malaria. This money was used to buy 1,682 long-lasting insecticide nets which will help save the lives of 84 children.
Tabitha Cambodia Tabitha Cambodia is a non-profit community development organisation targeting at the poorest of the poor – those whom other development organisation cannot or will not help. In a continuous effort to help improve the lives of more than a quarter of a million Cambodians, Accenture Singapore has helped organise fund raising and has sent a team to Cambodia to build six houses.
Asian Tsunami In the Asian tsunami tragedy, Accenture Singapore encouraged its employees to donate generously to various charities. Our Facilities & Management staff coordinated donations of money and clothes to the Salvation Army and Red Cross.
