I joined Accenture after graduating with a bachelor of computing in 2007. I have already learnt a lot from working with different teams, and I’m sure I will continue to! Each day’s tasks are vastly different and challenging. If you enjoy working in a dynamic environment which will challenge your potential, Accenture is definitely the place to be in.

What work do you do and what’s the best part of it? On a typical day as a business intergration (BI) team member, the client and I meet up to discuss ways to resolve any issues and update each other on new functional, technical or reporting requirements. I also work closely with end users in order to understand issues they might be facing and to help them to troubleshoot them.
The best thing about working at Accenture is the people. Peers are always willing to go that extra mile to help you out. I also find the dynamics of the job exciting: each day’s tasks are vastly different and challenging.
Why did you choose Accenture? Accenture has reaches across different industries and regions, providing an enriching career as well as allowing me to play a central role in helping clients to become high-performance businesses. Plus there are the dynamics of your job scope: there is no single project that is similar, so you are always being challenged to take on new roles, responsibilities and skills for different projects
What have you learnt about SAP in your time at Accenture? The most important thing I have learnt is teamwork. There has to be a high level of co-ordination between members to meet deadlines. And on team-orientated projects, you have put the team’s needs before your own.
I was placed in a SAP/BW team with limited prior knowledge to SAP/BW. I had access to Accenture’s online training materials which helped me to establish the fundamentals of SAP/BW: critical to performing my role adequately. This allowed me to eventually develop a report which not only met the client’s requirements, but was also a feasible solution that could be implemented. The support, constant guidance, as well as coaching from my experienced peers, were the most important factors in helping me with this challenge.
What advice would you give somebody joining Accenture? If you enjoy working in a dynamic environment which will challenge your potential, Accenture is definitely the place to be in.
What do you do in your spare time? I enjoy watching movies and catching up with my friends over drinks.
