After successfully completing my undergraduate degree at Melbourne University, I became interested in information systems issues. During my studies, I was interested to see how technologies can be applied in real world settings. This is what led me to Accenture.
I have developed a wide range of business oriented and technical skills, and it is a daily joy to draw on these to serve in a company so devoted to helping companies expand their markets. In this short period of 4 months since joining the Accenture family, I have had the opportunity to learn from and work with the best people in the industry and they have taught me so many things.
To me, the most significant three are: how to work as part of a dynamic team; how to be thorough at interpreting complex information and of course; common sense.
No two challenges are the same and as such, I can never predict exactly what form a problem can take and there are never ‘standard solutions’. This keeps me constantly thinking on my feet.
Most importantly, Accenture has taught me the importance of redeeming values in business. It has shown me that technology can be powerful-- not for its own sake but as a socially constructive tool that can be used to make lives better, create wealth, and make things work better.
