Scholarships available for 2nd to 4th year/Honours of full-time study at a tertiary institution in 2009 Accenture (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd operates an independent Education Trust for the purposes of assisting financially needy students with strong academic ability who intend pursuing a career in one of the disciplines set out below. Successful candidates are awarded full scholarships which will enable them to continue their education at one of South Africa’s premier tertiary institutions. With effect from 2009, applications for first year of study will not be considered. Applications will only be available for students in their 2nd to 4th year/Honours of full-time study who wish to major in one of the following disciplines and at one of the universities indicated below:

What does the scholarship cover? The full cost of the tuition fees, registration fees and examination fees. The full cost of residence fees and meals. For students living in a self-catering residence, a meal allowance will be provided. A book allowance to cover the cost of compulsory books only. A laptop computer. Who may apply? Applicants must be South African citizens. Awards will be based on financial need and academic ability. Evidence of family income will be required. The following criteria and conditions apply: Applicable to 2nd to 4th years of full-time study, including Honours level. The application form submitted must be an original, completed in your own handwriting, and must be signed by you and your parents. Faxed application forms will not be considered. Please include certified copies of your academic transcripts. Do not send any original documents (other than the application form), as we cannot return these to you. A certified copy of your parents’/guardian’s income tax return for 2007. If this cannot be provided, a certified copy of both parents’/guardian’s monthly payslips (if applicable) or a letter from their employers verifying their income and/or a certified copy of any other income e.g. pension receipts.
