Accenture is filled with creative, enthusiastic and talented people who want to keep learning and develop their careers.
Our people are our most important asset and we invest considerable resources to provide on-going training that builds and extends professional, technical and management skills in all areas.
Entry Level All of our entry-level consulting professionals receive comprehensive training covering business acumen, technical, managerial and professional skills development. New joiners have a New Joiner Orientation—at the end of this programme, you will have heard about Accenture’s business operations and how we create value. You’ll be aware of the tools and knowledge assets that you can use to move up the learning curve quickly. And you’ll know what’s expected of you at Accenture and what levels of accountability, authority and responsibility your role entails.
All our entry-level consulting people need to understand the full spectrum of work we undertake on Consulting engagements, so your next two weeks of training are dedicated to developing business, industry and technology skills. Then we will get you ready for your first assignment. This could involve additional training depending on your location, the nature of the assignment and your needs as an individual.
After six to 12 months of client experience you’ll apply what you’ve learned on the job at our Core Analyst School. This includes an intensive, two-week training course at a centre in St. Charles, just outside Chicago, USA. Over the course of the next several months the Core Analyst School will evolve to include a curriculum tailored for each consulting workgroup. This will allow you to further hone your skills based on your area of specialty. The Core Analyst School is an excellent opportunity for you to learn and hone your professional skills. It is evidence of Accenture’s commitment to developing deep skills in our people.
Continuous Learning We want our people to achieve their goals while building the knowledge and expertise to help our clients become high-performance businesses. So, as you progress, you will have the opportunity to master a core curriculum at each stage of development to be promoted to the next career level. The curriculum will vary, depending on your level, industry group and specialisation, but will involve developing a portfolio of business, technology and industry expertise, together with professional skills such as communication, business acumen and selling. You’ll also have opportunities to hone your functional skills and expertise in your area of specialisation.
We offer a variety of formal and informal training programmes at every level to help you acquire and build specialised skills faster. Learning takes place both on the job and through formal training conducted online, in the classroom, or in collaboration with teammates. The sheer variety of work we do, and the experience it offers, provide an unbeatable platform from which to build a career.
