Job Description: Oracle is best known for its sophisticated relational database products (notably Oracle9i). Key responsibilities across levels may include:

Programmers: Among other key KPI's, programmers assist in the analysis, design, development and delivery of software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements. Senior Programmers - Analyst Programmers Contributing to the analysis, development, delivery and maintenance of technology-based business solutions. Designing, coding, creating test scripts (including testing and documenting tests), identifying and implementing configuration changes to software applications to meet both functional and technical requirements. Integrating technical and application components Assisting and participating in the design and implementation of technical infrastructure frameworks Maintaining, tuning and repairing applications; performing preventive maintenance activities; providing user support Assisting in defining the characteristics, capabilities, inputs, outputs, and results necessary to describe the required functionality of the selected technolog(ies) Contributing to planning and analyzing high-level software strategies and solutions Systems Analysts - Senior Systems Analysts Planning, analyzing and defining high-level software strategies and solutions through business, functional and technical expertise Assisting in researching potential vendors of software applications Supervising the maintenance, repair and tuning of applications; directing user support activities; managing preventive maintenance activities Recommending efforts in defining characteristics, capabilities, inputs, outputs, and results necessary to describe the required functionality of the selected technolog(ies) Assisting in utilizing efficient and effective processes and standards in order to continuously improve quality Assisting in determining resource status and needs, and assisting in deploying resources Assisting in planning, estimating, managing and/or delivering a project Managing the process of identifying, analyzing, mitigating and responding to project, financial, operational, security, and legal threats

Qualifications and Competencies

Basic project management skills Minimum qualifications required: Matric /Grade 12 Possession of a tertiary qualification ( technical in focus ) is an advantage Experience in PLSQL, Reports, Forms, Discoverer Minimum 2 - 10 years relevant work experience required Ability to travel when required Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment Desire to work in an information systems environment Ability to work in a team- oriented environment Good oral and written communication skills Flexibility Good time management skills Click her to apply.
