Accenture was recognized as Sweden’s Best Large Workplace by the Great Place to Work Institute in Sweden on April 2. The Great Place to Work Institute is an international research and management consultancy with 33 local bransches around the world. Their definition of a Great Workplace as one characterized by trust, pride, solidarity of spirit and a long-term drive to create the best working atmosphere.

The Best Workplace award is based to two-thirds on the Trust Index, a survey that over 750 of the Swedish Accenture employees responded to. The survey examines the level of credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie experienced by employees. The employees in Sweden showed an overall workplace satisfaction of 91% which is up 3% from the already high score of 88% for 2008. The results showed especially high scores on trust between co-workers and management, ethical work standards, and non-discrimination. The additional one-third of the metrics came from a Culture Audit, which analyzes numerous variables of the workplace and company culture such as level of Corporate Citizenship work, career options, diversity, employee benefits and teamwork.
