Describe your background

I went to Uppsala University where I received a Master’s of Science Degree in Engineering Physics. This is my first job.

Why did you choose Accenture?

I participated in a summer internship at Accenture in my third year of university and I had a very positive experience with the firm then. I found that the Accenture people were really talented—very competent and professional. That was the summer of 2000. When I graduated in 2002 I applied for a job at Accenture Technology Solutions (ATS) and got it.

What do you like most about your job?

The work varies a lot. At ATS we work in different industries and technologies so you’re always exposed to new ideas, new applications. The people are another big plus. You get the opportunity to grow both as a person and as a professional. You always work with different types of people and learn to handle different situations. Another thing I like here is that you have a very clear path for your career. There’s always the opportunity to go further if you want to—for those who don’t, there are “landing” positions at certain levels. But if you want to grow you can reach a senior position very quickly; much faster than you would at another company.

What are you working on now?

I’m working in the online gaming industry developing the technical architecture of a solution that allows players to communicate between each other. It’s very interesting, challenging and very complex.
