Describe your background
I graduated from the Royal Institute of Technology with a Master of Science Degree in Information Technology specializing in IT management. That was in June 2005. I also studied business administration and economics at Stockholm University’s School of Business. I worked as an IT consultant in my own company before joining Accenture in August of 2005.
Why did you choose Accenture?
When I worked on my master’s thesis, it involved developing an IT strategy for a large recycling company. I had a mentor from a consulting firm and learned a bit about the industry that way. Then Accenture had its annual “Consultant for a Day” competition and I applied. That’s how I really got to know and like the company and the culture. I knew I wanted to work in a challenging environment that blended IT with business management. Accenture seemed perfect for me.
What do you like most about your job?
I like different aspects—I have a passion for technology, business and people, and at Accenture my skills address all three areas. I like the fact that at Accenture we have an open culture and that everyone shares knowledge and experiences with each other. And we work with the latest technology and help clients leverage them. I also like the after-hours events and the social side of work. That’s priceless!
The company is very structured—you get everything you need in terms of support. When you start at Accenture, you’re guided through all the HR processes and are armed with the tools and knowledge you need to perform successfully. You get so much attention—you really feel valued!

What are you working on now?
I’m engaged on a project where we’re implementing a common enterprise system for a multi-national consumer goods company. That means we’ll roll out the new system across 78 different companies in 30 countries. The end result will be IT harmonization and improved efficiency. I’ve been focused on the business case for the project; calculating project phases and writing methodologies and technical solutions. At this moment we are five people on the team. But that number is sure to grow after we move from design to implementation of the system.
