Accenture worked with the eMillionaire show, a prime-time Channel 4 programme that allowed 7,000 entrepreneurs to compete for funding and consultancy support from a consortium of investors, in front of millions of viewers. We were heavily involved in the show, from screening the applications down to a shortlist of 30, to writing the business plans for the 15 finalists. As a result, we're now launching two new businesses – SchoolsForSchools.com – an electronic marketplace where schools can buy products more cheaply and easily than ever before, and Youreable – an Intentions Value Network (IVN) for the extended disabled community. To be successful, both companies need to secure second-round financing from Venture Capitalists. Our role has been to help them define and develop the business plan to secure this crucial financing. Strategy consultants identified the target markets for each business and the range of services they need to provide, and technology experts looked at how each business will use the web to provide goods and services.
