JAVA, data warehouse, .NET projects

One of the key reasons people enjoy working with us is the quality of our projects. We do interesting work for high-profile clients who are leaders in their fields. Each project is unique.

What projects will I get to work on?

There are literally too many to list here (clients come to Accenture with every technical challenge you can think of), but we can offer you a flavour of what you might expect.

You could be applying your talent to build, test, deploy or maintain a tailor-made software installation for a large blue-chip global organisation: Accenture delivers innovative solutions to around 80% of the FTSE 100. You may be developing a system that integrates existing applications into one single, simple interface. You might be called upon to customise and implement an “off-the-shelf” solution. Or, you could be involved in building a data warehouse, securing systems or building wireless platforms. You’ll often get to work with leading-edge tools and technologies including SeeBeyond, Java/J2EE, Clearcase, .NET, SAP, Siebel, Oracle, BizTalk, Chordiant, IBM WebSphere and BEA Weblogic. Each and every project you undertake will require fresh thinking and a positive, results-orientated approach.

In short, you’ll do the hands-on technology work to help Accenture deliver innovative technology solutions to clients.

Who will I work with?

Our people work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, each devoted to a particular project or client. A typical project team is likely to include a combination of people from Accenture Technology Solutions, client personnel, and Accenture Consulting resources from an Industry or Client Service Group (such as Communications & High Tech, Financial Services, Health & Public Service, Products and Resources) or where consultants have experience in areas such as Customer Relationship Management, Strategy and Supply Chain Management.

Working with such a rich mix of people, you’ll have every chance to learn and grow. Even more so because once you’ve finished a project, you’ll move onto the next one, which will give you the opportunity to constantly deepen your capabilities and learn new skills.

Where will I be based?

You might work in our Accenture Delivery Centre in London (Fenchurch Street), or, more than likely, you’ll work directly on site at a client. This could be anywhere within the United Kingdom or continental Europe. However, the majority of people are based in and around the United Kingdom. But wherever you are, whenever you’re working with Accenture consultants or Technology Solutions people, you’ll feel the same sense of energy and professionalism. We aim to create environments that are focused on learning, that respect and recognise different backgrounds, work styles and perspectives.
