This scheme is the perfect way for graduates and post-graduates to gain real-life experience of the world of consultancy and make an informed choice about whether you’d be suited to it. What can I expect?You’ll start in September, and the induction training you’ll receive in your first week will provide you with a good grounding in business and technology consultancy techniques, plus a few core business skills too.Around this time we’ll also give you technical training before telling you about the project you’ll be involved in. This could be in any industry area, anywhere in the UK. Expect to become a fully signed-up member of the team – and take on real responsibility for software testing, research, report writing, data analysis or even designing client websites.We’ll expect you to learn a lot in a short space of time. But to help, we’ll allocate you a buddy who’ll act as a valuable source of advice and guidance. At the same time, you’ll receive regular feedback on your performance from your supervisor.What will I get in return?You can look forward to a salary of £20,000 pro-rata. Could I qualify?You should typically have 320 UCAS points with a predicted or actual 2:1 or equivalent in any degree discipline. You should be in your final year at university when applying or already graduated. You won’t need IT knowledge, but must be interested in learning about technology. Lastly, you’ll be someone who’s prepared to live away from home and finance your own accommodation. Applications open from the 11th February to the 25th April 2008.
