A central aspect of our recruiting process is the case interview, as we believe it most closely parallels the actual work you might undertake as a consultant here. Throughout the recruiting process, you can expect to participate in several case interviews, each of which will likely vary in scope and approach. The best preparation for these interviews is to familiarize yourself with the process and to practice sample cases with friends or colleagues.A case interview is a type of job interview that allows you to demonstrate your ability to approach and solve a given business problem - the types of problems that Strategy consultants encounter on a daily basis. During the case interview, the interviewer will present a situation, ask you to explore the underlying causes of the problem and then suggest recommendations for a remedy. The cases given tend to be real business situations, often drawn from the interviewer's actual project experience. There is no "right" answer to the case. We are interested in how clearly you define the problem, how logically you structure your analysis, and how well you communicate your thoughts. The case interview provides us with an example of how you might perform in a strategy consulting situation. We are seeking intelligent people who can approach business situations in an analytical and creative fashion, maintain a professional presence, think under pressure…and have fun!
