The Accenture Scholarship Program For Minorities was created to encourage minorities to pursue degrees in engineering, computer science, and a variety of programs related to information systems and decision or management sciences.

Scholarship Awards
Scholarship awards of $2,500 are awarded to outstanding students for undergraduate study. Recipients must be enrolled as full-time students in at least the third year of course work by the fall semester 2009 to receive the full award.

Application Process
The 2009 application process is now closed. Please check back in December 2009 for the next scholarship application season.

Selection of Recipients
Scholarship America administers the Minority Scholarship Programs for Accenture, and selects the scholarship recipients. Recipients are chosen based on the information provided in their applications. Education information (GPA, major, etc.) is weighted heavily, as is involvement in extracurricular activities. Essays are reviewed for overall content and originality. Scholarship recipients are selected based strictly on merit – financial need is not considered.
This program awards scholarships directly to diverse students and is targeted towards African American, Hispanic, Asian American and Native American undergraduate and graduate students.

Payment of Awards
Scholarship America processes scholarship awards on behalf of Accenture in two equal installments. Checks are mailed directly to each recipient’s home address on August 15 and December 30. Checks are made payable to the school for the student.

Obligations
Recipients have no obligation to Accenture. They are, however, required to provide all requested information and to notify Scholarship America of any changes in address, school enrollment, or other pertinent information.

Revisions
Accenture reserves the right to review the conditions and procedures of this scholarship program and to make changes at any time including termination of the program.

Administration and additional Information
This scholarship program is administered by Scholarship Management Services, a department of Scholarship America. Scholarship America is a national nonprofit educational support and student aid service organization that seeks to involve and assist the private sector in expanding educational opportunities and encouraging educational achievement.
